Make sure you avoid, whether you're a guest or host, and avoid all their other websites too. Oh, and by the way the host of my retreat confirmed they have not been paid either - so Tirpaneer are just holding my money for no good reason, they have not even paid the organiser. Absolutely disgraceful, copying and pasting the same response at first and then closing all communication channels. When I finally raised a claim with my insurance company and asked them to confirm they won't be refunding my money and that I have refused their voucher, so I can recover my costs with the insurance company (which by the way costs them absolutely nothing), they stopped responding completely to my emails and would not even help with that.
#3 WEEK YOGA RETREAT COMPLAINTS HOW TO#
They kept sending conflicting information saying they will not issue refunds until March 2021, then May 2021, and in the end sending a badly put together piece of paper that says it's a voucher but doesn't even have a code or any clear instruction on how to use it, even if one wanted to. They have refused to refund my fully refundable deposit offering me their useless voucher which under EU consumer law I am not forced to take and have refused to take clearly and in writing multiple times. I will always look to TripAdvisor or other sites for reviews of any retreat that I consider in the future. I don't think I'll book through BYR ever again since I cannot trust their ratings. They only have 9 ratings so mine should have had some sort of impact but it didn't. In spite of my zero star review, info of bad experiences with two other people and a phone call with another retreater, BYR still gives Renuatam Spa an excellent rating. Unfortunately, I know two out of three did not book through bookyogaretreats so their reviews were not published.

There were only two meals per day as opposed to three advertised, and the accommodations that were described as "luxury" were not.Īfter returning from the retreat, I wrote a review giving zero stars and I know at least 3 other retreaters wrote reviews describing their experience as being poor.

Many things that were promised were not provided. I booked at 5 day Ayurvedic cooking / yoga retreat with Renuatum Spa in Puerto Rico.
